Welcome to the website for the Green Parties in Bristol.

As the local political arm of a much larger national and international Green movement, we promote social and environmental justice through campaigns, non-violent direct action and the electoral process.

In Bristol, we have been represented on the city council since 2006, currently by Southville Cllr Tess Green - though we need more seats to be really effective.

Caroline Lucas (the party leader) has made a crucial breakthrough by becoming Britain's first Green MP, and England also returns two Green MEPs to the European Parliament.

No Tesco in Stokes Croft, Transition Montpelier and Bristol Food Hub are planning an evening of discussion about why you may or may not want supermarkets to feed us. The event takes place from 7 to 9.30 p.m. at Elim City Church, Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft on Wednesday, 15th September, 2010.
