There is no city council election this year in Bishopston. Graham Woodruff was the Green Party's candidate in Bishopston in 2010.

In recent years the Greens (in the person of Martin Harvey) have been taking second place in Bishopston elections, ahead of both Labour and Conservatives.

Graham was pleased to be representing the Greens in Bishopston, where Gloucester Road brings unique local diversity to the area instead of the 'clone town' sameness of so many places.  He still actively campaigns to keep it that way. This year, as there are no city council elections in Bishopston, Graham is standing as the Green Party candidate for Cotham, which is where he lives.

Martin Harvey

Martin stood down as our candidate last year. We would like to offer Martin our heartfelt thanks for all the work he has done in Bishopston over many years. He is a veteran street campaigner who has been our candidate here several times, and he is well known in the ward. Our consistently strong showing in Bishopston in recent years has been mostly down to his hard work. It is with gratitude that we wish him well in the future. However, Martin has already indicated that we don't get rid of him that easily, and you may well see him delivering the odd leaflet in Bishopston from time to time........!
