Bristol West Local Elections
2011
All but two of the city council wards in the Bristol West constituency have elections on 5th May this year.
The last city council elections in all of Bristol West constituency were held on June 4th 2009, the same day as the European elections. The Green Party results in those local elections were as below. Click on the ward names for more information.

Easton and Lawrence Hill are now part of Bristol West parliamentary constituency. In the 2009 city council elections the Green Party took 26% of the vote in Easton, and 13% of the vote in Lawrence Hill.
We also stood in Avonmouth, Eastville, Frome Vale, Henbury, Henleaze, Hillfields, Horfield, Kingsweston, Lockleaze, Southmead, St George East, St George West, Stoke Bishop and Westbury-on-Trym.
2008
There were no local elections in Bristol West and Bristol North West in 2008.
2007
The local elections in 2007 gave a big boost to the Green Party. We stood in 21 of the 24 wards that had elections, and received 10,281 votes. This gave us an average of 16% of the vote where we stood and an average of 20% across the wards in Bristol West constituency.
The star result was in Ashley, where we received 34% of the vote - we came within 110 votes of taking the seat.
Other high scoring results in Bristol West were Cotham with 23%, Clifton East 15%, Cabot 20% and Clifton 16%.
These represent substantial increases in our percentage vote over the previous local elections. In many of these wards we are now in second place.
There were no local elections in Bristol North West in 2007.
2006
Here are our 2006 results. Bishopston 24%, Redland 21%, Stoke Bishop 9%; Henleaze 10% and Westbury-on-Trym 7%.
