Castle Park - The developers try yet again....
Sunday, 04 April 2010
The developers who want to 'redevelop' the buildings on the corner of Castle Park (having had their original proposals rejected) have now come up with yet another proposal which would take up more of the space fronting Wine Street (opposite where the extension of the farmers market is on Wednesdays). It would also mean building on most of the 'green triangle' bit of the park - the most heavily used tree-lined footpath and green area between Broadmead and Bristol Bridge.
Castle Park Users Group continues to monitor this and is waiting to see the proposals more fully before deciding what to do. The struggle to preserve Castle Park goes on...............
The Green Party continues to offer its support to the Group.
