Policies
The Green Party is not just about the environment. We see that policies in many areas are inter-linked and have an effect on each other. Over the years, we have developed a set of policies to cover many areas.
- At a local level we have developed an 11 Point Plan for Bristol, see below, to summarise our ideas. More detailed local policies are shown in the menu on the left-hand side.
- At a national level, our policies cover almost every area of life! Visit www.greenparty.org.uk/policies.html for highlights and http://policy.greenparty.org.uk/ for details.
You can also see what we think about other issues by looking at our News Releases and our Campaigns.

Protect Public Services We are opposed to all the cuts proposed by the present government. These cuts threaten our schools, universities, the NHS and other public services, and they are not necessary. Regulating the financial sector must come before cuts that will damage the lives of young and old alike. |

We need a progressive voice in Bristol politics In today’s tough economic climate, it is more important than ever to stand up for what we believe in. Every Green vote reminds the LibDem/Lab/Con parties that there is an alternative to their clogged roads, oil based economy, and overcrowded schools. Our councillors will work hard to focus attention on the topics that really matter: a sustainable economy, public services, quality of life, and the future of the planet. |
