On Thursday, 21st October, three Bristol Green Party members spoke to a General Studies sixth form class at St. Katherine's School, Pill, about the green take on three areas of science.

Ben Appleby discusses nuclear power at St Katherine's Pill

Ben Appleby was the first to address the students on the subject of nuclear power, followed by Gus Hoyt on genetically modified organisms, with Bill Heaney ending on animal testing.

The "science and life" session is an option in the school's general studies course. It was the first class on the day on Thursday and was attended by over 40 students.

The students listened carefully and a few were brave enough to ask questions.

The Green Party would like to thank teacher Emma Hall for giving us the opportunity to present the green view of these controversial subjects, and we'd also like to thank the students for welcoming us into their lesson.
