Housing and Green Spaces
We can increase housing stock without losing our green spaces
Redevelop our 7000 unused buildings and houses: don’t build on our green space. Your local green space is in danger
Green space in Bristol is being sold off and built upon for short term gain. This isn’t acceptable or necessary.
Green spaces are an important resource for all communities. They are used for allotments, providing fresh air, sports and walking the dog. They are vital for good health. There are alternative ways for providing the houses we need. We should bring into use unused houses, empty offices, and derelict buildings, redevelop brown field sites, build car free denser housing.
We do not support the development of a large stadium on green belt land against the wishes of local residents.
Outdoor facilities should be available to all young children near their homes.
