The Green Party candidate in last year's local election was Christina Quinnell.

"My name is Christina Quinnell and this is me enjoying the snow in Lockleaze with my son Louis, (who sort of enjoyed it!). I am a proud mum of Louis and Rosa and have been involved with local preschool education issues and campaigns. This was the fifth time I have had the pleasure of standing in Lockleaze.

"We are bordered by the M32, the Muller Road and Filton Avenue (ish). Its main problems are centred around social issues in Lockleaze (Daycare Centres closing, ASBOs etc) and the new school wanting to build their own playing field when there is a perfectly good area just beside the school.

On the whole though, the area is fab. Surrounded by Green land and some fab parks and great people etc. There are many community associations and Street groups which keep the Local Authority on its toes."
