Internship Opportunity
Written by Hannah Jefferys Friday, 12 February 2010
Interested in politics or campaigning work and keen to gain some first hand experience?
Wanting to channel your anger with the government into something more positive?
This internship is open to anyone with a keen interest in Green Politics and may suit a recent college or University graduate. The internship will ideally start in the next couple of weeks and run until the General Election speculated to be May 6th, but could be earlier or later. You will have your own desk within our Central Bristol headquarters from which you will perform tasks such as aiding campaign coordination, organising social events and speaking to members of the public. You will also spend some time on outreach with jobs varying from door-knocking and speaking to voters, to leafleting and stall running.
We make efforts to make our internships varied, so you can develop a variety of skills. Full training provided, we do not expect you to have a thorough knowledge of Green Politics, just that you are an enthusiastic and preferably organised individual. You will need to be able to offer between 16 and 24 hours a week, days can be flexible.
If you are a student these hours can be reduced to fit around your study time.
Applicants must be 18 or over, please apply by joint email to Cllr Ricky Knight and Hannah Jefferys:
