We also hold monthly city-wide meetings, usually at 6.30pm
on the second Wednesday of the month (check the events
page to be sure) at the Stag and Hounds in Old Market
We have two Green parish councillors in Downend. There are also
local parties in Woodspring, South Gloucestershire, Stroud, Bath,
Wansdyke and North Somerset.
Contact us if you would like to know more. We can always use more help to get our
message across. Come to one of our meetings,
help with events and fundraising, talk to your friends. During election
campaigns, display a poster or help with producing and delivering leaflets.
NATIONAL PARTY
Our national policies are agreed at our conferences and assembled
into the Manifesto
for a Sustainable Society (MfSS). This covers all aspects
of government policy, not just traditional green issues.
The Green Party in the UK currently has 2 members of the European
Parliament, 7 members of the Scottish Parliament, 1 member of
the House of Lords, 2 members of the Greater London Assembly
and over 50 town, city and regional councillors.
