All of the Councillors on Bristol City Council have received lots of emails on this topic, and like you we are very worried about the reported rise in hate crimes.
We have made a cross-party agreement to propose this motion at the next Full Council meeting, which will take place on Tuesday 19th July. (If you are interested in attending this public meeting, full details, including the agenda once it is released next week, will be available here.) We will also be putting a cross-party public statement out soon.
In the meantime, you might find the attached poster and leaflet useful. It has been produced by the Council and associated relevant charities. Do you have a noticeboard at your place of work, place of worship, etc? If so, it would be great if you could stick one of these posters up to make sure people know how to report hate crime if they experience or witness it.
