Bristol's Green MEP, Molly Scott Cato, has responded on BBC Points West to the BBC's revelation that UKIP's MEP, Lord Dartmouth, has been caught lying about his involvement in a wind farm.
The UKIP South West MEP was personally involved in negotiating a deal but denied in a BBC interview any involvement. The BBC reports that the deal could have earned his family up to £100,000.
Responding Molly said,
"There is clear evidence now [Lord] Dartmouth behaved dishonestly, and obviously we expect higher standards than this from our elected politicians but it does also smack of hypocrisy because he had these conversations about potentially benefiting from a development despite the fact it is clearly contrary to UKIP's policy".
